At night when my body surrenders to the power of sleep my spirit leaves me and travels to the kingdom of the unimagined and the unseen and there, where time is eternal and space can be moulded by our desires it finds peace and harmony, free from the bonds of mortality, for in our waking moments does man not make a prisoner of man?
Is a realm where we are free to make and create not better then the shackles and chains of humanity?
In our living are we not sheep who blindly follow those in power? Fattened by their false promises and slaughtered by their greed.
Are the law makers not also the law breakers?
Do men not fight amongst themselves over land which belongs to no-one yet is a gift for everyone, do they not take with fervor and enthusiasm yet give in a stingy and miserly fashion.
Is money not the cause of all evil? Those who have it in abundance would say no while those who do not would vanish like ashes scattered to the wind.
Is hate not more prevalent than love? And oftentimes does man not use love as a form of power and control? Is love something that should be given with passion and eagerness yet coveted not? For does the act of giving unconditionally not make the art of taking redundant and does taking not make the act of giving impossible?
Does man not believe that his consciousness places him above all other things? Does the extinction of a species cause him no shame while his numbers swell beyond that which the earth can provide? Does he not strip the world bare and cut out the lungs of the earth too build his homes?
Has man been so blinded by survival that he can no longer see how to live? Should the kingdom of our dreams not also be the goal of our life? In our sleeping are ours eyes not wide open to that which is possible and in our waking do we not close them to the truth?
Is money not the cause of all evil?
ReplyDeleteNo, LOVE of money is a root of evil.
